2017 Communications

and Creative Awards

For us storytellers, telling a compelling and engaging story that makes people think, and even cry, well, that is everything to us. It’s why we do what we do. And, honestly, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Shaping stories with words and photographs provides such an incredible opportunity to better understand the world and to learn more about myself.

But it’s also nice when our storytelling earns recognition from our peers. This spring, I was fortunate to learn that my strategic storytelling in 2016 earned multiple public relations and creative awards. These honors wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support and generosity of my colleagues at the City of Boulder’s Open Space and Mountain Parks Department.
